These Hinges require new screw holes to be drilled in the door.  The mounting plate to the cabinet frame is the same as the Grass hinge you are replacing.
The 830-09 mounting plate requires 1 new hole to be drilled in the cabinet frame.

IMPORTANT: These Soft Close hinges require new screw holes to be drilled in the door.  The Grass 830 series of hinges has been discontinued for a number of years.  I spend hours each week looking for new sources for Grass hinges and mounting plates, it’s getting more difficult as time goes on.
I use these hinges in my custom cabinet shop everyday.
My customers demand the latest and greatest features in their kitchens and baths.  These hinges have a smooth action, and the soft close keeps the door from slamming.
They are not Grass brand hinges.  They are Soft Close replacement hinges for the Grass 830 series listed above.
The main difference with these hinges is that they are a one piece design with the soft close feature built in.
They work just like the Grass 830 hinges and plates.  They use the same holes on the cabinet, but you will need to drill new screw holes in the door.  It’s a simple process. Instructions are in the video below. Simply unscrew your Grass hinge and mounting plate, drop the new hinges in the large hole, align the hinge, drill new screw holes, put the new screws in and hang the door on the cabinet.
This hinge will replace both your Grass 830 hinge and your 830-xx mounting plate.
It will not work as a replacement for other mounting plates.
This hinge has the up and down adjustment just like your Grass hinge.
The left and right adjustments are much easier.  If the door needs to be adjusted to the left, simply turn the adjustment screw left.
You don’t need to worry about the door falling off while making adjustments like your Grass hinge does.  That’s the beauty of the one piece design.
I recommend replacing both hinges on the door so they are the same.  Failure to do so may cause the door to bind or not adjust properly.  That’s why I’m selling these as a pair.
