VTG.(1940s)Harker Bakerite oval platter,14”, w/22k gold trim,Sweet Heart Rose Pt.
Sweet heart rose pattern. Pink dominating the color scheme followed by dark green , brown, shadow green. Gold gilded rim.
Measurements 13 7/8” long, 10.5” wide, 1.25” high, 3+ lbs.
Harker Pottery was founded in 1840. It started in a log cabin in Liverpool, Ohio. It remained there for 91 years. Due to constant flooding, it was moved to Chester W.V.
Harker Pottery is known as the “Oldest Pottery in America”.
It permanently closed in March, 1972.
Condition: excellent. No breaks, chips, cracks or repairs. Flaws- some wear to gold trim, crazing ( comparable to like vintage, weight and production materials). Please see photo’s.
