Set of 3 Harker Pottery Co Cameoware Dainty Flower Blue 9 3/8" Dinner Plates

Description

The Harker Pottery Co., of East Liverpool, Ohio and later Chester, West Virginia, is commonly called the, “Oldest Pottery in America.” It was started in a log cabin in 1840 by Benjamin Harker and remained on its original site for ninety-one years (it closed in 1972). These three dinner plates are from Harker’s “Cameoware” line of dinnerware, one of its most recognizable and well loved patterns of the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. The plates measure 9 3/8″ in diameter across the center and are in very good used condition, with some small nicks on the edge of the rims (see photos 5 thru 7), and two of the plates have crazing and some stains under the glaze (see photos 4 & 10).
